All candidates wishing to undertake one of the above mentioned courses must submit a request chit through the chain of command and comply with the following courses entry criteria:
1- "SHIP'S DIVER" training
This course is available for all military personnel.
- Being volunteer;
- Being under 33 years of age;
- Meet watermanship screening tests;
- Meet medical standards relating to Ship’s Diver.
2- “DIVER EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL (BS2)” training
This course is available for petty officers.
- Being volunteer;
- Being under 30 years of age;
- Being already qualified as Ship's Diver;
- Meet watermanship and physical screening tests;
- Meet medical standards relating to EOD diver;
3- “DIVER EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL (BS3)” training
This course is available for petty officers.
- Being volunteer;
- Being a holder of EOD (BS2) diver for at least 4 years;
- Being at least Petty officer first class;
- Meet medical standards relating to EOD diver;
4- DIVER EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL (CS2) training
This course is available for seaman only.
- Being volunteer;
- Being already qualified as Ship's Diver;
- Meet medical standards relating to EOD Diver;
- Meet watermanship and physical screening tests;
5- “COMBAT DIVER” training
FIRST PHASE: This phase is available for all military personnel wishing to undertake "combat diver" training.
- Being volunteer;
- Being under 30 years of age (Waivers available on case-by-case basis);
- Meet medical standards relating to "combat diver";
- Being already qualified as Ship's Diver;
- Being qualified as parachutist prior to commencement of the preparation phase;
- Pass the screening test related to "combat diver"course;
SECOND PHASE: Candidate must be accepted by the end of the first phase for "combat diver" training.
